Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to wear a costume? Nope! Dress up or come casual. We’ll give prizes for best costume to adults, kids, and pets!

Can I change before or during the movie? Yep! We’ll watch “The Big Lebowski” (rated R) through a shared screen on Zoom. Be as comfortable as you want. Our cameras and mics will be off – but live chat will be enabled.

Is this a kid-friendly event? Sorta. From 3-4pm, the kiddos will enjoy seeing the costumes! At 4:00pm, the movie might not be appropriate for all.

Can I leave anytime during the event? Sure, get popcorn. Make a drink. Peace out early. This is low-fi, fun event to support all the American Blues Ensemble and Artistic Affiliates across the country.

But can I come back? Yah, there is “late seating” reserved on our virtual couch for you anytime during the event.

I can’t make it, but I want to donate! Yah, mail a check, payable to American Blues Theater, to American Blues Theater – 4809 N. Ravenswood, Suite 221, Chicago, IL 60640. Important: if mailing a check, be sure to let someone know so we can count the pledge in our total.
