ABOUT ZACHARY
Zachary is an internationally recognized award-winning actor, musician and writer. Best known for his performances as Buddy Holly, Zach was coined a “dead ringer for dead singers” by the Victoria Times Colonist for his portrayal of the legendary rock ‘n’ roller as well as Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Phil Ochs. In 2018, Zachary won the “Jeff” Award in Chicago for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role (Musical) for the Buddy Holly Story at American Blues, a role he’s honed in more than a dozen productions of across Canada and the United States.
Other acting highlights include Million Dollar Quartet, Hair, Fire, Urinetown, Assassins, Sweeney Todd, Company and Ring of Fire.
Zachary is the lead songwriter for the retro-pop trio the Oh Boys, which was born from an ABT production. He is the singer and frontman for several musical projects including The Fortunate Sons, a Tribute to Buddy Holly, and Dynamic Duos of the 1960s.
Zachary is a graduate of the University of Victoria (BFA) and a proud union member of the AEA, the CAEA and the AFM.
