Seeking NOMINATIONS for individuals of all ages who have shown remarkable courage in the face of challenge for our 2025 It’s a Wonderful Life: Live in Chicago! Whether it’s standing up for what’s right, helping others in a time of need, or overcoming personal obstacles with determination, we celebrate those who inspire us through their bravery.
During each performance, we honor one person (any age) with a short personal testimonial, a projected photo, a certificate, and two (2) complimentary tickets to the show. This makes for an incredible holiday present for a loved one, colleague, friend, or self-care treat.
Nominate someone whose actions remind us of the power of courage in everyday life
Hurry! There are limited spots available. Neither you nor your nominee must be present to receive the honor. For more information, contact Elyse Dolan at ElyseD@AmericanBluesTheater.com
EXAMPLES of the BRAVERY BULLETIN
To: Mom (Susan)
From: your children (Mags, Christina, & Connor)
We’ve watched you handle your diagnosis, treatment, and remission with grace and strength. Had you and Dad not told us, we wouldn’t have guessed there was anything wrong. You never missed milestones (birthdays, graduations, & weddings) in our lives, all the while fighting for your own. We love you so much.

Thank you for your career service in the Navy. You are the strongest and most honorable person I know. The United States is safer because of your ethics, protection, and ability to stand up for truth. As your retirement nears, please know I will finally take up diving so we can travel the world. (First, however, I need to go to a pool to see if I can even clear a mask underwater.) Here’s to an incredible 35 year run!

Hang in there, sweet boy! Every day you are getting stronger, and you amaze us with your spirit. All the doctors and nurses say you are their favorite “little brave bear”. Next holiday, we will celebrate around the tree (for dad) and menorah (for mom). And yes, we will invite all your new friends from the Peds Ward.
