ABOUT WARREN

Warren Levon is an actor, writer, and producer who continually explores the human experience. Raised in Chicago’s vibrant Bronzeville neighborhood, he discovered the transformative power of the stage as early as third grade. The arts became his sanctuary and purpose, a calling that led him to embody stories on stage, on screen, and behind the microphone. As an Acting/ Theatre major at Harold Washington College and under the guidance of Professor Sydney Daniels, Warren deepened his craft, learning that true artistry is a lifelong pursuit. Growing up in the Christian faith, his faith journey has since fused passion with purpose, allowing him to approach every artistic endeavor as an offering and an opportunity to encounter the God living within all of US.

Throughout his career, spanning more than twenty years, Warren has had the privilege of working with some of Chicago’s most respected theatre organizations, including American Blues Theater, Raven Theatre, Mpacct Theatre, Collaboraction, Teatro Vista, Halcyon Theatre, Porchlight Music Theatre and many more. In 2009, he was an original ensemble member of the now defunct Halcyon Theatre Company. In 2024, Warren joined the Artistic Board of Directors for Pulse Theatre Company. It is through these facilities he continues his journey of artistic exploration and expression.

Warren’s film and television work includes credits such as Lac Du Flambeau (Standing Passengers Productions), Lioness of Lisabi (Ozzarts Productions, winner of the 2009 Chicago Children’s Film Festival), Fallen Souls (Knight Phoenix Productions), and Smoke Screen (Halsted Media Productions, finalist at the 2008 Hollywood Black Film Festival), The Chi, Shameless (Showtime Network), 61st Street (AMC Network) and others.

In 2013, Warren started a second career as a sound engineer and later became a sound designer for theatre. These opportunities enabled him to work with various theatres in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs developing his talent from the other side of the boards. His designs have been acknowledged by the Joseph Jefferson Committee through nominations and awards in the Production category.

Warren remains devoted to honing his craft with professionalism and integrity, expanding his creative portfolio to include playwriting, voice-over, and producing. Rooted in faith, Warren is moving ever forward with confidence, knowing that with God guiding his path, all things are possible.

“But by the grace of God, I am what I am; and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” — I Corinthians 15:10

FUN FACT

I love all things Star Wars and Star Trek. I have watched every episode, movie, or special that adds to the canon of those stories.
